In 2012 I published a Craigslist ad looking for an artist in New England that I could profile for a short documentary. Wil Swink, then living in New Hampshire, responded, and since then Wil and I have been friends and artistic partners. The first video I made with Wil was “Swink,” which showcases some of Wil’s art and the journey toward his first solo show in Cambridge Massachsetts. The second video, which is titled “The New Native,” explores the work that Wil created for his second solo exhibition of the same name in Trenton, New Jersey in 2016.
